For tenants

Want to pay rent online? Get your landlord on board.

If your landlord still takes checks or cash, you do not have to wait. Tell us who they are and we will invite them to RentMerchant. It is free for them to start, and once they are set up you can pay by bank or card and turn on autopay.

It is free for your landlord to start
You pay by bank transfer or card, whichever is easier
Turn on autopay so rent is never late by accident
Keep your payments, lease, and maintenance in one place

Invite your landlord

Their email is all we need. The rest helps us make a friendly introduction.

We will send your landlord one friendly invite. They can opt out at any time. We do not sell or share your information.

What happens next

We reach out to your landlord and let them know you would like to pay rent online. Setting up a RentMerchant account is free for them and takes a few minutes. There is no charge to collect rent on up to three properties, and you cover the small processing fee at checkout, so your landlord receives the full rent.

Once your landlord invites you back to their portal, you sign in and pay by bank transfer or by debit and credit card. Save the method you like and turn on autopay so you never miss a due date. The same portal is where you report maintenance, sign your lease, and keep your documents.

Your landlord is never obligated to sign up, and we will not email them more than once about your invite unless they choose to continue.
