When a tenant pays rent online, a small processing fee applies. By default the tenant pays it and you receive the full rent, or you can choose to absorb it for your tenants from your payments settings.

| Bank transfer (ACH) | The bank-transfer processing cost (0.8%, capped at $5.00) plus a flat $2.00 RentMerchant fee. The $2.00 fee is waived on the Pro plan, so your tenants pay only the processing cost. |
| Debit or credit card | The card processing cost, passed through so you still receive the full rent: on $1,200 rent the tenant pays $36.15. No added RentMerchant fee. |
